Cracking Color---Daffs

These Daffodils are a few weeks late in opening but they surely will. I took these pics yesterday in the nasty rain. It has been wet and extra cold slowing down the bloom time. But bloom they will as will the Tulips. they should be out mid April in stead of the end of March. The Tulip Festival starts April 1st and goes for a month and on. Come and enjoy--more pictures as they bloom.
Skagit Valley is one of the nations largest bulb growers so all these beautiful flowers will be snipped off one day to save the bulb. So you have to come and enjoy. Oops I said too much---Just wait a few weeks for LOUD COLOR. MB

Startled

I haven't seen any Deer around lately (probably doing what deer do in the early Spring). I just happen to run across this and liked it so now you get to see it. Taken around here last summer.

Read the back of the Menu. Funny!

Mother and I went to lunch at Captain Whidbey's Inn. Judge Still's tavern is the restaurant in the Inn now. They serve lunch and dinner Thursday through Sunday with brunch on Sunday. Yummy!!
I had the Steak Caesar and Mother had the Divers Scallops and we both had the Blackberry CremeBrulee--extreme!!
Captain Whidbey's is in Coupeville on Penn Cove known world wide for there excellent Mussels.
This is the lunch menu. Read the back click to enlarge if need be.
