Altered Mountain

Tricia at http://bluffareadaily.blogspot.com/ has been experimenting with altering her photos with excellent results so I thought I would try with what is in my computer. I don't have Photoshop butI found I could adjust colors somehow (?) and here is a pic of Mt. Baker. Pretty, huh? MB

Stanwood

Stanwood on the right and Camano Island on the left.
Follow the red brick road to my house. About 10+ miles from Stanwood. Minutes to the water or wildlife or both valleys (Skagit or Stilly Valley) Skagit Bay to the N of the town and Livingston--Port Susan Bay to the S of town and the Stilly river and Davis slough separating Camano and Stanwood. Stanwood elevation is 5 and mine is around 1000ft. up in the woods. Population is 4500.

Camano Island is a small island 16 miles long and .75 miles at it's narrowest and 6.6 miles at the widest part---around 13,000 inhabitants.

Stanwood across Skagit Bay

This is a view of Stanwood from Camano Island across Skagit Bay.
The tide is way out. The exposed pilings are all that is left of early log storage for a mill.

Red Man

Took a short road trip up north to Blaine Wa. About 1 1/2 hours away. Raining whe I left home but turned out to be very sunny up North.
Found Red Man running out of the bushes---maybe he was embarrassed--who knows.
Since I was in the middle of traffic I just snapped this pic and now I can't find out anything abour Red Man. I will research it. MB

Morning Moon Meets the Mountain

I took this pic yesterday morning just after 7AM See the moon up in the left.

Click on image to see it all.

The mountain has been out every morning but goes away during the day and comes back in the evening.

If Jacob wants to think I spend all morning sitting out on my deck, drinking a Vanilla Latte, observing the Mountain--well it's a tough job but someone has to do it. MB
