Fields of Gold--------Flowers from Today

The Daffodil fields have finally begun to bloom. The Tulips will be late this year because of the very cold weather. The Tulip Festival in Skagit Valley starts April 1st. If we get some sun the fields should start opening up.

Washington Park deer

Aren't these guys sweet. Look how fuzzy the baby is. They live at the park and since it is mostly wooded they have a forever home. There are more deer and they are quite friendly.
Washington Park sits on a peninsula at the west end of Fidalgo Island. The 220-acre city park features camping, a boat launch, and day use picnic sites. A scenic 2.2-mile loop road winds through the park’s forested hills and meadows with views of the San Juan Islands and Olympic Mountains.

2. The Eagle is running from me.
3. The Heron says, 'I'm outa here'.

Pond visitors

This pair of Hooded Mergansers have been seen at my pond for 3 days now. Are they going to stay or just visiting? They forage by diving and swimming underwater for any goodies they find. They nest in tree cavities. I think they are very pretty and unique. MB
