Went to visit my Mother on Whidbey Island. Returned at sunset. this is the passing ferry.

Todays flowers

I took these pictures this morning. See the snow.
1. Pieris japonica with buds and snow.
2. Viburnium bodnantense--also called Dawn Viburnam. Blooms from fall to Spring,bearing loose clusters of very fragrant deep pink flowers that age to pale pink. But freeze in coldest NW winters. As you see it may be cold here but not too freezing cold. Notice the snow.

Last Spring

A pair, maybe the same pair, come and visit our pond and stay and raise their goslings. April to June--it seems a miracle that from a hatched egg in April to full grown by June--off they go. Do you see the baby? MB

Baby, it's cold outside

First one this year.....

First Red-winged Blackbird I have seen this new year. They always nest at my pond and are fun to watch.

Still under water

Water still covers this corner of the Skagit Valley. This is on the Bay View- Edison road by the turn off to Samish Island.

Well I walked around my yard and found a few sorry, raggety flowers, so I dipped in my pics and posted a beautiful wild flower meadow near my house. Enjoy!

Mt. Rainier--this morning

Another breath-taking sunrise this morning. From my bedroom deck:
1. 7:16 AM
2. one hour layer at 8:15---close enough

I am always amazed by the sheer beauty of the mountain and the sky.

Cowgirl Bling

The new bridles. the green one is for Macaroni and the red for Jewel. Pretty fancy, huh!!!

This house is in Stanwood down by the Stillaguamish River. They have a boat ready. The second picture is the road---that was a far as I could go. I was going to the Organic Farm at the end of the road. They have no way out except by boat.

In my yard today

I found these wet babies in my yard today. The Helleborus are late because of being covered by snow for more than 3 weeks. Lots of raindrops everywhere and the many Crocus are pushing their way to daylight. YAY!!!
