Looking over the top railing on the ferry boat the four of us could see our shadow in the water below.

Rose of sharon and Magnolia--Todays Flowers

I have two Rose of Sharon shrubs (hibiscus syriacus) and they are blooming like crazy right now. They are doubles so they don't have the icky seed pods.






My Saucer Magnolia (M. soulangiana) is blooming again. It does this sometimes in the Fall.

Moon on fire

Wednesday's moon going down. There are still wildfires around making the sky hazy which in turn makes the sunsets bright red. We have had the driest July on record and barely relief in sight. MB
