The leaves won't fall...........

....off the dang trees.
I took these pictures 3 days ago. We had an Indian Summer in October and are having a real mild November. I guess this is why Washington is called the Evergreen State.

1. Down by my pond
2. My Washington Hawthorne
3. Willows by the creek that go into the pond
4. Washington Hawthorne--it has beautiful berries for winter color and bird food
5. This tree is called Liquidamber or Sweet Gum

Valley birds

The Skagit Valley is winter refuge for many different birds including Trumpeter Swan. Here they are in an old cornfield. They will be around 'til February or March and then back to the Arctic to breed.

View from my deck-part 2 -plus update-

Same time, same place. Yesterday the Mountain and today FOG! But that's ok because it will burn off and today the sun will shine. I guarantee it!!

An hour later the mountain came up over the fog. Remarkable!!! See, the sun is going to shine.

Reflections.......

on Pass Lake

Pass Lake is a nice lake. It is open year round to fly fishing only. Catch and release and no gas motors.
