close to harvest

Pics of potato and the pea fields.
Potatos tops will be burned off and the potatoes left in the ground to finish and then harvested in Sept, October and even November. aren't potato flowers pretty.
The peas will be ready soon. Some fields before the others.
These are two of the biggest crops in the valley.

Snoqualmie Falls

Summer Falls
Winter Falls
Snoqualmie Falls is a 268 ft. water fall a huge tourist attraction for the tiny town of Snoqualmie. It also appeared in the series Twin Peaks.
It is a beauty---huge in the winter and just plain beautiful.
I took the summer picture on my way outa town. It's up in the mts. on the way over the pass.

Eagle Nest

Here is an eagle's nest I photgraphed yesterday. The parent Eagle would rush to the nest--drop some food and go sit on the branch. The nest is in the lower left corner in the picture of the parent Eagle. It would happen so fast I wouldn't get a chance to take a picture. It was interesting to watch, though. The babies look full grown. Their backs are to me so they just look like lumps in the pic.
