Pretty day. Pretty water. Pretty heron.

Look who is showing up. Sneaking up on the old heron.
The Koi disappear all winter and return when the surface water warms up I guess. We have 14. they are getting big.MY DAILY TRAVELS THROUGH THIS LIFE
It has been wet and windy and then warm and wet and windy. Angry sky.
Sunday we had a wicked wind storm and so of course our power was out until late into the night, almost morning. My eldest grandson, Mike, spent the day and he is a photo-bug and into macro now. So we bundled and out we went to take some pictures. Here is the wind on the pond and my heron. That just shows ripples but it really was WINDY. I can't wait to see Mike's pictures. He will take his film to school and develope it there.
Our power has been out for most of the afternoon and into the night so I am finally getting to my Sunday posting. My daughter and son-in-law were up in this area because Chris had a bid on building a pole arena up in this area. they stopped by and R showed me a couple of great finds she got at the thrift store. she is a great thrifty shopper. One is the little John Deere tractor that just rumbles and roars in place and the the tricycle motercycle that is just beyond belief (3 bucks). she says that is hers and her boys cannot have it. She gave the JD tractor to her dad who isn't well and likes anything John Deere.
