My Mother at 16

My mother's birthday is April 2nd, She will be 91, Yes she was in her 70s when she had me. She is having a party at her house today. Doing all the preparations herself. She is a busy one. Her eldest sister died a few monthes ago, at age 99, and one of my mother's remarks was "well, I am in charge now" She was young when she married my dad and I wish I could say that they had a long and lovely life but my Dad died when I was quite young. I have an older brother and sister but after we all got out of high school she remarried and I have a younger brother. But Gus died before the baby was born and my mother carried on like the trouper she is. After John got out of high school she remarried again and she and George has 20 great years together. I think she should write a book or leave something for posteriety in her words. She's quite a lady. She has a good sense of humor and can be so silly just so we all will laugh.

Dear Marybeth,
What a nice tribute. How far does she live from you?
Tomorrow do we get birthday party pics?

Would your Mother let you write it?

MB,
What a nice picture and I love hearing about her. Maybe she kept a secret journal. imagine having you when she was in her 70's, That exact same thing happened with me, I was a very very late baby too.
