Sunday Sunday

I can't wait 'til Spring. I'm going to get some chickens. Just a few. Maybe 6. I have all the lumber and wire already--just have to do it. Here are the chicks I have now. heheh
Woke up to a slight dusting of snow and winds blowing it sideways. Befor it all melted--and it will--I am off on a daytrip. Down to the valley to look at stuff and maybe walk on the dike and watch the river and see eagles. oh yeah!!
got my camera and I am off. (In more ways than one)

Bingo--Remember When

Back to Bingo. He was such a little pup and now at close to 7 monthes he is a tall gangly teenager pup. See Nancy Jo, I am the driver although now I am taking the pic. haha Remember Jake was bigger than Bingo and Jake is only 2 monthes older than Bingo.
Last night we had a huge windstorm. Our power only went out once. I'm going to venture out on the roads and see if any trees are down and check the rivers again.

Today is today, I hope

RAIN RAIN RAIN I could go on but that is what we have. Damp and icky. I took a look at the rivers today and they are fat but by no means worrisome. We are so close to the Bays they dump into that if there is an extremely high tide the rivers will show it. The rain has made the creeks high which in turn fills my pond and therefore my waterfall is gushing. Very pretty and noisy.

Thursday, Jan.3

Where is my head I think I lost a day. OH no I feel like Alice in Wonderland falling down the hole.
This is a picture of my youngest at work. She is the front desk and AP & AR and she is out where the salesmen talk to clients so all product is surrounding her and she is a neat tidy person. Her desk is perfect.........

OFF TO MY MOTHERS

Well, I went to visit my Mother today. Took the ferry over to Whidbey Island and drove up to her place. I met a MJ fan over there and will visit her when I have an extra day. We (Mother and I) to breakfast and drove around and I ran a few errands for her. We went up a long dead-end road because this old farm was being developed for houses. (hiss--boo) I found a little old timey cemetary down at the end of the road. Isn't the close-up of the cement angel striking? It is the Langley Woodsmen Cemetery and is the oldest cemetary in South Whidbey. Started in 1902. I was going to say 'opened up' in 1902 but that just didn't sound proper. So I hope these pictures are in order.
1. The lighthouse and housing at Mukilteo (where I catch the ferry)
2. Passing the returning ferryboat.
3. Cemetary Angel

A brand New Year 2008

Starting a new year daily blogging. I shall continue unless I run out of photos.
With the help of a blogging friend I finally got back to black but I still cannot change my header. The problem when I go to edit header and click on remove image, the image will not remove itself. So.......I shall perservere.

HAPPY NEW YEAR ONE AND ALL!!

After posting this I stepped out on my deck and watched the unfolding sunrise and just had to add one more photo.

No snow

The weather man keeps saying no snow except up in the mountains. A record amount in the passes. No snow in Stanwood---and there is no snow in Stanwood. I know I live up by the woods but we have had snow since Christmas. It has snowed everyday since then and you guys who are used to having snow and maybe wish it were gone well I know how you feel. It is sorta pretty though and only 1 mile away there is absolutely NONE. Imagine that. Nobody believes we have snow because they don't. Just Weird.
PS. I don't care for the pink background, I didn't put it there it just appeared and I want the black back. I think blogger is messing with me.
