Wild sky for Sky Watch

I took this near the Keystone Ferry dock on Whidbey Island.

To see more skies from all over the world go to www.skyley.blogspot.com

River names

These rivers (all starting with an S) are all within minutes from my house and most I visit often. They are all Native American named.

Samish River means: Hunter
Skagit River: A member of the Salish People of the PNW
Stillaguamish: People of a Tribe
Snohomish: Widely debated--either Wet Snow or Sleeping Water
Skykomish means: Inland---which it is

I love all the rivers and visit them often.

Flowing water

As I said before we have been having torrential rains and flooding in the lowlands and near the rivers. Fortunately for me I live up high but my pond is now a lake and the waterfall is roaring. Which by the way is a very pleasant sound.

I will be away for a day and may not comment but I will be back.

Off to be with my Mother. MB

High Water.......

We have been having extremely heavy rains and all the rivers in the western part of the state are flooding or near flood stage. This is the Skagit river at Mount Vernon up the river from me. It is very fat but as you can see the weather is breaking and I do see blue sky. YAY!! MB

Mussels for dinner+++Crows and Christophers

Penn Cove Whidbey Island, home of the world famous Penn Cove Mussels.
Even the Crows love 'em.
I had some for lunch too at Christophers in Coupeville.
I am a little more civilized. MB
