SPRING

So many signs of Spring. Little things poking up out of the ground---flowering trees in full bloom---daffodils with their blazing yellow heads. big full moon out there. I watched it go down this morning as beautiful as it was coming up last night. Glorious sunset yesterday too. Well not quite sunset. this pic was taken down my road looking over Stanwood and Skagit Bay from way up high at about 5:45.
Happy and holy Easter to all.

AMAZING

My daughter Richelle and I went to Langley on Whidbey Island to visit my mother-her grandmother. We had a very nice time and went into the small town and visited some shops. While we were there someone said the whales were out in the water. Langley in on Saratoga Passage. So we went out to look and sure enough out by a boat were some whales. We couldn't see them too well be cause we were not close enough but we could see the plume of water when they sprayed. None breeched. So it was exciting. They come in closer to feed when the tide is out, and the tide was coming back in. It was low tide around 6:30 that morning. But just being there and seeing all the people excited was fun. This happens every year but I've never been there when the whales were. They are Grays I think. I don't think Orcas yet.
This is a sightseeing boat that was out there. Those people had a good view. MB

Bradley's Birthday

Bradley celebrates his birthday with St. Patrick, so we had a small party for him today. He invited one boy to come up here with him. So there was me, Bradley, Kee'an (the invited boy) brother Brett, his Mother, Richelle, auntie Jolene and her family Robert and Mattea and me. We had a boy type lunch--hot dogs, hamburgers, punch and chips. and after that cake and ice cream. We are very low key here. Richelle had an at home party for him so this was just up to see Gramma party.

Off to whidbey Island

I off to visit my Mother. I have to see what exciting things she has been doing. Like the new pony? I hope to take more pictures on my roadtrip. It is pouring rain out there---There is a saying here 'If you say you don't drive in the rain--then you will never go anywhere'. So true.
Catch ya on the flip side'
Ohh, does that date me. MB

Dreary day

What a dreay and depressing day this was. I am glad it is over--almost. Although more of the same tomorrow. I am so tired of gray days and rain. And chilly and dampy. At least tomorrow is Friday. I should always look on the bright side of things. My web feet are are overly wet though. Yesterday some beautiful ducks were in the pond. I call our pond the Pond Motel. Ducks come on in and stay a few days and then off they go. The ducks yesterday and today were (I think) Harlequin ducks. Very cool. I took a picture but they were too far away and I didn't want to scare them away.
