Cheri and Cameron

My daughter and her bunch, Cameron and Michael were here for the week-end. they live on the ranch in Ritzville, WA. Saturday we took Michael up to Bellingham for his drivers test. He passed said his proud grandmother (me). We ate lunch. We came back home and then went to the care center to see Dave. Of course we had to go out to dinner and then back home where I put them all to work. Cameron installed my new hot fence for the pastures and Mike cleaned up stuff around the outside of the house. The wind roared last night--huge gusts-no power outages--not yet anyway. Today Cameron and Mike raked up old leaves and the wheelbarrow that tipped over and blew stuff everywhere and then it was time for them to head home. It is about a 4-5 hour drive depending how fast you go. Friday the calves were trucked out so now they will push cows to different pastures and other ranch stuff.
It was fun having them here.
Oh the picture of Cheri and Cameron was taken last month when they went to Texas to pick up a car and got to drive back and they did all the tourists thing until they got to Utah and decided they wanted to GO HOME. The pic is at the Grand Canyon. Mike of course had to stay home and go to school. MB

Goodbye Clinton

I went to see my Mother today and took the Ferry home. So it leaves from the tiny town of Clinton. So here's goodbye to Clinton.
Also here is a picture of my Fothergilla Gardenii. Really a great shrub. this is the dwarf variety al though it can get tall. It is supposed to be 3x3. It has beautiful white spire flowers (they look like fuzzy candles) in the Spring and in the fall the leaves turn yellow, orange and scarlet, sometime all at once.

Down in the valley

Rows of potatoes waiting to be harvested. This is down the hill from us. In the valley. I love the little farm at the bottom of the hill--well where the two hills meet.

Nice driveway

Just driving around my area to look for pretty pics. There is a little farm at the end of this road which really is just a drive-way because it is deadend and only two houses down there and you can't go past the gate. But very pretty and Fallish.

Fall frenzy

I think I will copy Sue (junebug) and show some fall pictures from around here. I may press some like Nancy Jo did. The red Maple ones are from the woods and the garden one is from my fall garden and I had to take pictures because the flowers are almost done. I should buy some Hardy Mums and stick them here and there.

October 1st

A new month. Time is flying by it seems
Today: Go to the nursing home
Grocery shopping
Visit a Birthday friend
Try to clean, clean, clean.
I have to get outside and do some garden cleanup. Deadheading, cutting back, raking stuff like that.
Kylee was at a 3 day horse thing this week-end. It is called...O-MOK-SEE...and she was in the top 10 and won a real nice jacket. I'll show pictures when ready.
Since Ambush is gone she rode a Horse named Honey but will be back riding her horse Sadie.
The grand boys were here and I got them model cars to put together. Here is a pic of Brett's. He took his own pictures.
