Geese come into the Skagit and Stillaguamish Valleys every October through April---the farmers hope they will leave in March because the green goodies are stirring beneath the ground---Yummy!! say the Snow Geese. The farmers usually lose the first cutting of hay. These guys need to get moving and head North to Russia and the frozen tundra where they breed, have babies and forage until they return next fall. They are here by the 10s of thousands. Count is somewhere near 100,000 and that's a lot of noise. These geese are cool to watch specially when they are in flight. And yes I was very close to them MB
