Lunch at Palmers

Kylee and I went to lunch today in the town of LaConner. LaConner is a small touristy town on the Swinomish Channel (off of the Skagit River) that time had passed by. The town never did fall into disrepair and thrived by itself even though the railroad passed it by. When it was discovered again in the 20th century is was still a charming town with all building intact. Used today to part you from your money. Just like the Palmer Restaurant did.
Kylee had wild caught Alaska King Salmon burger with vinegarette greens and for dessert cheesecake with strawberries. I had Salmon also and Creme Brulee.

Skagit River at Lyman

Friday while enjoying the best day of the year I stopped at the little town of Lyman (pop. 421) on my way to Darrington. The Skagit River runs beside the town.

Today is raining and cold. 17 degrees colder than normal. Welcome to Summer.
