More Red Pots

The 4th is over but the fireworks linger on. The rodeo is over until the next one. (July 28) The weather is nice and warn, not blistering hot as is the case in other parts of the nation.
More red pots--a pot of Hostas and a pot of Kalmia (mountain laurel), pots by the steps to the deck and other red objects. I know I got carried away.

The Week-end

Had a pretty good week-end. Well it really started on Thursday when my oldest daughter and her family visited from Eastern Washington. And then on Staturday my youngest, Jolene, visited and then Shannon, Kylee's mother, left to help a friend move. Richelle showed up and off to work we went. R, J, and Kylee worked out R's horse and washed Ambush and I fired up the DR Trimmer and hand mowed the smaller pasture--it had too many thistles and nettles. Jolene left and R hooked up the drag to my Gator and drug the sm. pasture and Kylee helped me with the thistles. We put in about 3+ hours. R went home.
Saturday evening we discovered the horse trailor had a flat tire ( oh no! the rodeo is tomorrow) and we couldn't get the air compressor to work. Phooey.
Sunday morning the compressor worked, I filled up the flat. Kylee and her mom loaded up and off they went to Darrington to the rodeo. We went and watched too. Kylee and Ambush did OK. First picture is Ambush saying what am I doing here remember I'm retired!! 2ndpicture is what surrounds the Darrington arena. Third pic is the closest I could get of Kylee going around a barrel. I am out of order but then what else is new.
At home, after dinner I went out and finished pressure washing the deck ( I like pressure washing, go figure). R and her family came up and we wished her Happy Birthday (july 2), they stayed for a couple hours and then off they went and took their pressure washer.
Now it is late and I am enjoying being quiet and all alone. GOOD NIGHT

A new day

July 1st. A new day and a new month. Good wishes to all.
Kylee has a rodeo today riding MY horse, Ambush. Rainbow wishes.
This is the view from my deck looking south. July 4th fireworks are everywhere. Mt. Rainier (14,400ft) is in the distance on a clearer day. Enjoy your day.
