A day at the pond

My pair of geese stayed for quite awhile--but no babies this year--they did return with the rest of the family.
The RedWinged blackbird family is nesting in the reeds and Papa is telling me I am WAY too close.
The swallows dive the pond for bugs and make big splashes but they are too quick for me to get a picture, all I get are the splashes.
The Koi like to sunbathe if the temp is warm enough. This guy decided it was. He is in the reeds where the Blackbirds nest.

Those fish are getting big and still not camera shy! Very nice pond, don't you just love nature!

You always share such lovely pictures! Hubby thinks we have a koi in our pond, but it's too elusive to know for sure. We just get momentary glimpes from time to time. We don't believe it's original to our pond, but rather a resident that we gained during the flooding from the hurricanes in 2004.
